beginnergains Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 9, 2026

beginnergains is a Smolov squat and bench training tracker with an on-device AI coach, built by Moloi Method. This policy tells you exactly what the app collects. Short version: nothing.

What we collect

Nothing. beginnergains has no backend server and makes no app-owned network calls. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter phoning home, no advertising ID, and no account system. We never see your name, your email, your training numbers, or your device identifier, because none of it is ever sent anywhere. The one exception is Apple's own App Store: when you subscribe or restore a purchase, Apple's StoreKit contacts Apple to process it. That transaction is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, and the developer never receives your payment details.

What stays on your device

Your survey answers, your generated program, every logged set, your RPE, pain notes, and wellness check-ins are stored locally using SwiftData on your iPhone. That data is written to your device's storage and nowhere else. We don't have a database of users. We couldn't hand your training log to anyone if we wanted to, because we never receive it.

If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it. There is no cloud copy to also remove, because none exists.

The AI coach

The coach that talks you through your training runs on Apple's on-device FoundationModels (Apple Intelligence), not on a server we operate. Your prompts and the coach's responses are processed entirely on your iPhone and never transmitted to Moloi Method, to Apple's servers, or to any third party. If Apple Intelligence isn't available on your device, the coach falls back to pre-written guidance, still with no network call involved.

Notifications

beginnergains schedules local notifications, things like a missed-session nudge or a heads-up before a test day, directly on your device using iOS's local notification system. These are computed from your program data already stored on your phone. No message is routed through a server, and no notification content is sent to us.

Payments and subscriptions

Pro access (weekly, monthly, or annual) is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Apple processes the transaction and handles your payment details directly. We never receive your card number, billing address, or Apple ID. Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

Health data

beginnergains does not integrate with HealthKit or any other health data source. It does not read from or write to the Health app.

Children's privacy

beginnergains is not directed at children under 13, and we don't collect data from anyone regardless of age, since the app collects nothing at all.

Data deletion

Because your data lives only in the app's local storage, deleting beginnergains from your device deletes all of it. There is no account to close and no server-side record to request removal of.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new effective date. Material changes, such as introducing a server-backed feature, would be called out here explicitly and would get their own review before shipping.
